Siniakova Clinches Maiden Mixed Doubles Grand Slam at Wimbledon

Katerina Siniakova and Dutch partner Sem Verbeek captured the Wimbledon 2025 mixed doubles crown on July 10, defeating Britain’s Joe Salisbury and Brazil’s Luisa Stefani in straight sets, 7–6(3), 7–6(3), in a tense final on Centre Court.

Both sets were decided by tiebreaks, with Stefani struggling with a leg issue in the second set—yet Siniakova sealed the victory with a dramatic overhead smash. Speaking after the match, she said:

“It’s very special… we had a lot of fun on the court and I really enjoyed it. It was a really amazing time here.”

This victory marks Siniakova’s first Grand Slam mixed doubles title and adds to her already impressive haul of 10 women’s doubles major titles, including the 2025 Australian Open with Taylor Townsend.

For Verbeek, the triumph represents his first-ever Grand Slam title. He paid tribute to partnering a “doubles legend,” adding:

“Thank you for making this a Thursday I will remember for the rest of my life.”

Despite their strong performance, Salisbury and Stefani couldn’t clinch the win. Salisbury praised the champions, noting:

“They were too good in the tie-breaks today.”
