Last night Katerina Siniakova and Barbora Krejcikova made history for Czech Republic. They clinched women’s doubles gold after a week of tough matches in extremely hot conditions. In the final match they defeated the singles champion Bencic and her partner Golubic 7:5-6:1. Barbora and Katerina converted five of their 11 break points, winning nine of the last 10 games to triumph. It makes Katerina and Barbora the first Czech team to win the Olympic doubles gold. More golden medals to come!
