On the start of the last Grand Slam of the year, Katerina faced Anett Kontaveit (WTA#28). Losing the first set 6-7(3), Katerina took the match with last two sets 6-3 7-5. In the second round, the court was burning not only because of the degrees Fahrenheit, also because of the match against Ajla Tomljanovic (WTA#57). Katerina Siniakova continuous to perform well in doubles. This year at US Open, Katerina with her partner Barbora Krejcikova reached the semifinals, losing 6-4 7-6(6) to the winners of the championship – Ashleigh Barty and CoCo Vandeweghe.
Katerina will start the Asian series from Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open with the 43rd position in singes ranking and the 2nd in doubles.
