The current world number one, Siniaková first broke into the top on October 22, 2018. Siniaková remained at the top until June 2019, when after 33 weeks she was replaced by the Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic.
Siniaková subsequently added another 29 weeks to the original portion between November 2021 and June 2022. She returned to the position of world number one on September 12, i.e. after triumphing at the US Open grand slam alongside her traditional partner Krejčíková.
Since then, the 26-year-old Siniaková has added another seven weeks to her collection, making her a total of 69. She thus definitively surpassed Helena Sukova (68 weeks) and Wimbledon champion Jana Novotna (67 weeks).
