Katerina Siniakova becomes a finalist of Shenzhen Open in singles and doubles. Katerina starts her season with a victory over Ons Jabeur: 6-1 6-1. Straight after in the second round and in the quarterfinal, Katerina eliminates Yaman Wang 7-5 6-3 and Kristyna Pliskova 6-2 6-2. The semifinal battle brought a lot of emotions and feelings to Siniakova, as for the first time in her life she faced her junior idol – Maria Sharapova. Katerina was on fire during three sets of battle with Maria, what gave her the open road to the final of the tournament with a score 6-2 3-6 6-3. In the final, Siniakova lost to Simona Halep with a score 6-1 2-6 6-0.
