Katerina Siniakova won her second French Open title together with Barbora Krejcikova. In the final match they showed a fine battle against Bettanie Mattek-Sands and Iga Swiatek 6:4-6:2. In 2013 they partnered for the first time, during a juniors event. “We couldn’t find a partner,” Siniakova told reporters after the pair won their second women’s doubles crown at Roland-Garros on Sunday. “We won it. From that time we decided to play with each other because it went really good.” Their third Grand Slam crown came a day after Krejcikova had become the women’s singles champion. Siniakova described their partnership as “a long journey” they are on together. More titles are still ahead.
